In the United States celebrates Thanksgiving the last Thursday in November every year. In my family Thanksgiving is a big celebration as we basically have a family reunion. During our celebration, we express gratitude to all the farmers, ranchers, and everyone else involved in bringing us the food we enjoy. We give thanks to God for the blessings in life and we remember our family members who are now in heaven. We also follow our parents’ lead to use this day to bring cousins together to celebrate family and keep the tradition of celebrating with extended family - as family is everything. For you and your family, I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving when and where you celebrate in the world.

I wish I could say I have been doing a lot of writing, but as they say, you can plan to do one thing, but life can throw you a curve ball, and life sent a huge one my way. My brother, Mike, who was not even sick, left this world. It was a shocker. It is amazing how a person can be so full of life, have so many plans with his family and then poof. No more. His family and mine can continue on knowing that Mike, who loved our Lord, is discovering just how great His love is. It is hard to breathe, but I have to take a deep breath and give thanks for the time we had. He was visiting John and I about 3 weeks ago and we made plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Who knew that hug, and love you, would be the last we would ever have? So please, love your kids, loved ones, and tell them just how much they mean. I am currently working on editing one story for 'Boomer the Curious Bunny' series. It’s fascinating how you can think a story is ready, but stepping back for a few days allows you to see how much more you can improve it. Once more, I go back to the editing phase of writing.
Last year I planted a Morning Glory Tree near my home. I enjoy the blossoms on the tree so much that I recently purchased a new one and planted it in my front garden. It has taken several months for the tree to settle into its new home. I am thrilled to share with you a picture of the first blossoms. I love how Morning Glory’s wake up in the morning and goes to sleep by noon. Now you can have them on a vine and/or on a tree.
I have a busy month ahead with several interviews lined up.

I always enjoy my “T.E.A. Time” with Miss Liz. What I love about her show is that she doesn’t rehearse it. Her style of interviewing is perfect for her listeners.as they get to know the spear and what makes them tick. Enjoy listening to the interview!
My parents purchased a new home, and it was the month of October that we moved to our new home and it also meant a new high school. It is never easy to be that new student for anyone, and I was experiencing it firsthand. My saving grace was choir and theater.
Rehearsals just started that week for the musical Oklahoma and I sang for Mrs. Angelo and she agreed to let me in the show even though tryouts were over.
That act of kindness made my life at the new school exciting and I felt like I belonged. The night I received my Thespian certificate was meant so much to me.
From that day forward I would jump hoops for Mrs. A. I was not the popular girl, or the one who would get parts as I had much to learn about acting but I would soak up every word she said.
She taught us more than just acting; she taught us about life’s difficulties and how to survive in life. I was in all 4 high school musicals and later community theater and professional theater.
I owe it all to Mrs. A. I had the opportunity several years ago to catch up with her and let her know just how much she meant to me.
When I heard she passed, I was in shock. There are some teachers you feel will live forever, so I wanted to pay tribute to her in my newsletter. She will always be a star in my book. I guess the angels needed her to begin rehearsals for a glorious Christmas celebration. Thank you, Mrs. Angelo, for all the kindness and gifts you shared in the world.

I would like to take a moment and remember my brother Danny. We lost him several years ago to diabetes. What a dreadful disease. I do not know about you but in my case I did not realize how many memories we shared until I started telling a story to my younger brothers and of course they were babies and they did not know what I was talking about. I could not call Danny and say, “Danny, tell them this story really happened.”
My daughter Katherine wrote a song and recorded it for him the night he went to heaven. Angel at Dawn. She referred to a tree, which was one Danny and I climbed when we were kids. I hope you enjoy the song. I would love to have your thoughts.
I had a fun week with our show on USA Global TV and Radio: Simon MacDonald and Helena Chard bring fabulous news and culture to the listeners. Dr. Jacalyn, and I enjoy speaking with them about all the news they bring to us on this side of the pond.
