Boomer Hears the Forest: The Curious Bunny Book II is now out, and I am so excited to share the news!
There is something especially wonderful about seeing a book make its way into the hands of young readers. I recently received an email from a reader who told me that her daughter has a new favourite book. Those emails truly make my day!
She kindly gave me permission to share a sweet picture, and I love that they bought a bunny and named him Boomer to go along with the book. What a special way to bring the story to life! It makes me smile to think of Boomer having a real-life companion at home.
I’ve also received several emails asking whether I would consider creating a stuffed Boomer bunny. That would be a dream come true! I hope that one day there will be a stuffed animal Boomer to accompany Boomer Hears the Forest: The Curious Bunny Book II.
For now, the best way to join Boomer on his latest adventure is to pick up a copy of the book from your favourite bookstore or order it through Amazon.
New Interviews, Reviews and Author Features
As fall arrives, I can tell everyone is returning from their holidays because the interviews and book reviews are picking up again. I am excited to share some of my latest conversations, reviews and articles with you.
It is always special to connect with people who are interested in my books and my journey as an author. Every interview gives me another opportunity to talk about storytelling, the inspiration behind my books and the wonderful world of children's literature.
Recently, I was featured in an author interview with Mandy Eve Barnett, and Boomer Hears the Forest received a review from Author Anthony Avina. I was also delighted to see my work featured by Melinda Book Reviews.

What’s Next in My Storytelling Journey
I am busy working with Boomer and introducing him to schoolchildren. I truly love being able to visit schools and read to children, so I’m looking forward to getting back into classrooms as the new school year begins.
I am also looking forward to my next book, Humphrey the Camel, coming out in November. It is a children’s Christmas story, and next month I hope to share the cover along with a few more hints about the story.
And that’s not all! I’m also working on several short stories and look forward to sharing more about them in the future.
There are always new stories waiting to be told, and I’m excited to see where these next adventures lead.
Closing Out the Summer
I have been busy pulling weeds in the garden. They seem to grow faster in the heat, and I do not want them to overtake my beautiful flowers and bushes!
My husband and I have also been reworking part of our front garden by planting new bushes and ground cover. Yes, you read that correctly, we are planting in this heat! But these are plants that enjoy warm weather, and I made sure it was a good time to plant them.
I am always learning more about gardening and how to make sure flowers and bushes receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
Now I’m excited that fall is here. Hopefully the temperatures and humidity will cool down, I hope to see some of my nieces and nephews in action at their school events, and with school back in session, I’m looking forward to visiting schools and reading to children. I truly love being able to do that!
