I’ve been blessed to live overseas and travel to many countries, meeting people from all walks of life. Whether Christian, Jewish, Hindu, or followers of other faiths, I’ve noticed that this season often holds a special place in so many cultures and traditions. Each celebrates in its own beautiful way, with a heartfelt reverence for God or the Divine.
What has touched me most is how much we share in common—a longing to love, to spread joy, and to give generously to others. Across America and around the globe, people seem to smile a little more, give a little more, and open their hearts more fully to those in need during this season.
In my own Christian faith, I hold close two verses that guide and comfort me. I hope that, whatever your beliefs, they bring a spark of warmth and light to your celebrations as well:
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” – John 15:12
No matter how you celebrate, may joy, kindness, and love fill your days.
Blessings to you all!
