I always enjoy my “T.E.A. Time” with Miss Liz. What I love about her show is that she doesn’t rehearse it. Her style of interviewing is perfect for her listeners.as they get to know the spear and what makes them tick. Enjoy listening to the interview!
How I Came to Know Her
My parents purchased a new home, and it was the month of October that we moved to our new home and it also meant a new high school. It is never easy to be that new student for anyone, and I was experiencing it firsthand. My saving grace was choir and theater.
Rehearsals just started that week for the musical Oklahoma and I sang for Mrs. Angelo and she agreed to let me in the show even though tryouts were over.
That act of kindness made my life at the new school exciting and I felt like I belonged. The night I received my Thespian certificate was meant so much to me.
From that day forward I would jump hoops for Mrs. A. I was not the popular girl, or the one who would get parts as I had much to learn about acting but I would soak up every word she said.
She taught us more than just acting; she taught us about life’s difficulties and how to survive in life. I was in all 4 high school musicals and later community theater and professional theater.
I owe it all to Mrs. A. I had the opportunity several years ago to catch up with her and let her know just how much she meant to me.
When I heard she passed, I was in shock. There are some teachers you feel will live forever, so I wanted to pay tribute to her in my newsletter. She will always be a star in my book. I guess the angels needed her to begin rehearsals for a glorious Christmas celebration. Thank you, Mrs. Angelo, for all the kindness and gifts you shared in the world.
9th Grade – Mrs Angelo holds an award night to welcome the new Thespians to the club. I am receiving my Thespian Certificate.
