Now you might wonder why I have an elephant for my cover picture…
Well IMAGINATION. The picture is of my grandson’s 2-year-old birthday cake. He was into elephants that year. I thought the elephant cake needed a background, so I started painting the cake platter with icing. I let my imagination take over. He was so pleased. I am sharing this with you because I want to know what or whom you still dream of being or what you hope to achieve. I believe that if you can imagine it, it can happen. I always wanted to have fun with cakes and look at me know. I have made a fun birthday cake for all my kids when they were young and now they want me to continue for their families. So have fun and IMAGINE.

I had the pleasure to reading to the 4-year-old at Michael’s Episcopal Day School in Austin, Texas. I always enjoy being in a classroom. I enjoyed reading Harry the Camel to them and sharing where Harry the Camel lives. What it is like to be a camel and then read the story. We created a make believe sandstorm as we read the story. It was great fun, and the children learned it is not nice to teach and to love yourself just the way you are.
What I Am Up To…
- My new illustrator for the Boomer Series is busy working on the new release of Boomer the Curious Bunny that should be out in early summer.
- I am now editing the second Boomer book.
- I am super excited for you to see Boomer’s new look and read his adventures.
